A native of Mdantsane, near East London: Asithandile found her calling to the culinary world as early as the age of 9.She collected a lot of experience working in her own company, Blq Cheri which was formally registered in 2010

In 2015 Chef Tash as she is fondly known actively pursued her passion by registering for short term culinary training.In 2016 she went through formal chef training at the University of Johannesburg as well as HTA school of culinary art, acquiring her formal qualification in January 2017

She has worked with the likes of Chef Lucia Mthiyane under the watch of Chef Kabelo Segone.

Her focus is refined & contemporary...

She focuses on producing healthy food not compromising the flavour profile. Blq Cheri sources most of their ingredients locally and hence guaranteeing freshness and secures the knowledge of the source of ingredients.
